We might, and that's a big might, have a client for the enigma project. More info later on if it'll happen.

update: we might have two. Not sure yet.

enigma is done

April 30, 2006

Yes, enigma is done, and it's pretty nice. However, I need a firefox CSS hack to prevent it from showing a box around the images that are linked. If anyone can provide me with that it would be much apreciated.

[It is possible that savetheinternet.com is a fraud, so I will not support it until further notice.]

hershey’s goodness

April 21, 2006

I just found that while surfing the net and adding links to my blogroll I was sitting on a Hersheys peanutbutter kiss. It didn’t stain my clothes but it became the consistencey of mush. I took it by the paper strip (which it nicely clung to) and slurped it off. Yeah, it’s spring break.

enigma taken a turn

April 20, 2006

Enigma has just taken a strong turn, as I need help on a decision. Enigma is going to need to go in a direction now. It’s either going to become an interactive flash and design company, a software company, or both. I may just completely disregard your votes sent to me with email, and decide on my own, but it really matters to me what you think. I’m not sure what I’m going to do, but I need you to help me decide.

modern world

April 19, 2006

In today’s modern world, everything is diminished. The values of things are unapreciated. A kid thinks when they hear something happened in 1980, they think that wasn’t too long ago, even though it happened before they were born. People think their cell phones are too large, even though it’s amazing that something that is that small can almost instantaniously connect someone with someone else. People think things like this because in a world where people are educated so well, they are brought up to believe that things are supposed to be improved all the time, and suddenly what was marvelous last year becomes almost an insult to have today.

What’s with everyone suing Apple Computer, Inc. lately? I don’t get it. It’s like a trend or something. Apple corp., the Beatles recording company is renegotiating a contract with Apple in the court, something about not stepping on each other’s toes, and Apple corp. thinks that by having the iTunes music store Apple is breaking that contract. And now Burst.com is suing Apple for copyright infringement because they think that the iPod, iTunes music store, iTunes software, and Quicktime are using technology patented by Burstware. Burst is doing this in response to a suit Apple filed in January, trying to say that the patents that burst had were invalid and that Apple doesn’t infringe upon them with it’s Streaming products.

(There was a google video here but it got messed up or something.)

boston

April 9, 2006

The other day I went to Boston for the Big Apple Circus with my mother and a family friend named Valerie. Think of her as my sister that's as old as my mom. Except for she isn't my sister. Yeah, you got it. The show itself was spectacular, but it wouldn't be so fun to read about. So instead I'm going to write about mishaps and obnoxious people that were on the way.

First we went to Quincy Market for some dinner.

We all got clam chowder from the Boston Chowda' Company, but we were offered free samples from both a Chinese and Japanese restaurant. Which we took. I felt a little bad taking free samples without any intention of buying anything. Oh, well. Anyway after we finished that we got some gelato. It wasn't very good.

On we went to the circus, and all was well. A family got one usher to take their picture. Remember this for later, folks. So we watched the show, which was great. Then came the intermission. I went to the bathroom-trailer but I didn't get anything to eat because we got the not-so-good-gelato earlier. After we got back one of the girls in the family that got the usher to take a picture threw some fried dough onto the edge of the stage. It was unbelievable. The same usher that had to take her picture had to say

"Please refrain from throwing your trash on our stage ma'am, we just cleaned that."

So the show went on without event. Mom had parked in the 75'th street parking garage, but on our way there, there was a big hyper-active gang of kids jumping around the stairs and railings of Boston. One almost knocked my mom (who has arthritis) over. She said

"Be careful! You're going to knock somebody over!"

They were pretty little kids, so they didn't come knock anyone over anyway. No really, they were little kids, like 8. I don't think the thought crossed their minds. We saw that group of kids again in the 75'th street parking garage (which was a very elegant building) carelessly jumping around and one was making the others laugh by saying "YEEE' UH!" (A way people say "yeah" around here).
