modern world
April 19, 2006
In today’s modern world, everything is diminished. The values of things are unapreciated. A kid thinks when they hear something happened in 1980, they think that wasn’t too long ago, even though it happened before they were born. People think their cell phones are too large, even though it’s amazing that something that is that small can almost instantaniously connect someone with someone else. People think things like this because in a world where people are educated so well, they are brought up to believe that things are supposed to be improved all the time, and suddenly what was marvelous last year becomes almost an insult to have today.
